IATA Annual Safety Report of 2023 indicates continuous progress on the safety and shows “best-ever” results but without emphasizing and stressing of the roles of the involving sectors and agents including ground handlers and service providers, which could be a good field of analysis too.
“There were no hull losses or fatal accidents involving passenger jet aircraft in 2023. However, there was a single fatal accident involving a turboprop aircraft, resulting in 72 fatalities.”
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced on its 2023 Annual Safety Report for global aviation.
Can one imagine that ground operations such as fueling, passenger and cargo loading on sever weather conditions, de-icing, towing and all other airport services can reduce and diminish incidents and even fatal accidents and advance such rates?

There were 37 million aircraft movements in 2023 (jet and turboprop), an increase of 17% on the previous year.”
17% increase on jet and turboprop aircraft movements comparing the previous year of 2023, adding to 37 million planes movements and billions of travelers is a crusade and a real campaign.
How does such huge figures are reflected on day and night hard working ground handlers and airport service providers’ resume. No doubt that this sector of the aviation industry played significant role and part on such noteworthy and substantial achievement.
